Effective Utilization of Crusher Dust in Concrete Using ...

2021-6-4  It was observed that with use of crusher dust at all replacement levels, the workability of concrete was reduced from 1-6%. From the test results, it was observed that the replacement of natural sand by crusher dust increased the compressive strength of concrete by 5-22%. It was also found that amongst all the mixes, the highest compressive strength was obtained for 40% replacement of sand by crusher dust. Hence it could be concluded and recommended that crusher dust could be effectively used in concrete

DTI: Dust Control at Concrete Crushing Facilities

2019-6-3  At concrete crushing facilities, dust is generated at multiple points. Front end loaders, hoppers, and conveyor discharge points all bring dust when operational. Front end loaders transfer the incoming demolition materials to the hopper. Picking up these rocks creates dust as they are disturbed and dumped into the hopper.

Stone crusher dust as a fine aggregate in Concrete for ...

2017-12-12  Concrete paving blocks are ideal materials on the footpaths for easy laying, better look and finish. In this paper, a parametric experimental study for producing paving blocks using crusher dust is presented. Some of the physical and mechanical properties of paving blocks with fine aggregate (sand) replaced by various percentages of crusher dust are investigated. The test results shows that the replacement fine aggregate by crusher dust up to 50% by weight has a negligible effect on the reduction of any physical and mechanical properties while there is a saving of 56% of money. The percentage of saving was less but highly beneficial for mass production of paving blocks. The shaving would be more if the sand availability is at a greater distance. This also reduces the burden of dumping crusher dust
